THE TWO women injured in this afternoon's M40 crash have been taken to hospital with injuries, though neither of them is in a life threatening condition.

Helen Robinson-Gordon, press officer for South Central Ambulance Service, said that ambulance crews suspected that one of the women was suffering from a "tension pneumothorax", or collapsed lung.

She also said that the other sustained cuts, bruises and whiplash.

Traffic was still backed up to Beaconsfied at 6.15 pm - must have been treated as a crime scene by the police.

Driver runs off road - what a crime!

I witnessed the crash and it is only by amazing luck that the two women were not killed or seriously injured. They had to be cut free and extracted carefully- that takes time!

oh dear yet another crash !!! will we ever know the cause?
I suspect my theory of most drivers not holding the wheel correctly is most definitely a major cause
