ARMED raiders stole cash from a bookmakers in a robbery last night.

Two men, one of whom was carrying a gun, stole cash from the till at the Tote Bookmakers in the Park Parade Centre, Hazlemere, after threatening the store's manager.

One of the men forced the manager, who was the only other person in the building at the time, to the floor while the other helped himself to the contents of the till.

They attempted to gain access to the safe but were unsuccessful.

It is not yet known how much cash was taken.

The first man is described as Asian and was wearing a dark coat, dark jeans, dark trainers and a balaclava.

The second man is black and had a West Indian accent.

Detectives have today issued an appeal for information into the robbery, which took place at about 8.30pm.

Det Insp Kevin Mahon, of High Wycombe CID, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the men either before or after they left the shop and saw how they made off from the scene.

"Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in tracing these two men.

"Thankfully no one was hurt but the manager is shaken after the incident."

Anyone with information should contact Det Insp Mahon on 08458 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
