RE: Adams Park and the Green Belt, and last week's Bucks Free Press story.

THE Board was interested to read the lead article in the Bucks Free Press of April 25, and wishes to make the following comments by way of response.

Though a Government inspector may have agreed that Adams Park could be taken out of the green belt, this does not automatically give a green light to its extension or redevelopment. The ground and its car park still lie within the nationally designated Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

There are very strict national and local policies regarding development within the AONB.

Simply replacing a sports stadium with industrial units of the type adjacent to the stadium is not an option.

Unlike the green belt, a Government inspector does not have the power to change the AONB designation which will be in place for many years as there are no plans to review the boundary.
