TWO women whose car broke-down are looking for their 'knight in shining armour' to thank for rescuing them.
Alice Smith and her best friend Josephine Perry were travelling to Beaconsfield on Sunday when they became stranded on the busy M40 roundabout.
A unknown man came to help them.
Alice, a 26-year-old teacher from Wood Green, London, said: "Not only did he tow us to safety, out of the way of the irate Sunday drivers in their Chelsea tractors.
"But he then fixed the problem of gear linkage and then drove with us to our Beaconsfield destination before disappearing before we could say a proper thank you."
Alice was visiting her grandparents in a nursing home in Beaconsfield to introduce them to Josephine - her bridesmaid as they cannot attend her upcoming wedding.
She added: "We were literally within five minutes of them and at one point we thought we would have to get towed back to London without seeing them.
"It was the actions of this guy that enabled us to get to my grandparents and spend some time with them before the pick-up towed us back to London.
"A true knight in shining armour. Thank you so much."
Alice describes the man as having dark hair, of average height and being in his late twenties to early thirties.
Were you the knight in shining armour? Do you know who he is?
