Have you seen this dog?

A WOMAN whose father went missing in the Chinese earthquake is still looking for her pet dog.

Tracey Arnold said she was "relieved" to hear dad John was safe after the family had spent four days waiting for news from the Chesham grandfather-of-five.

But it was a small crumb of comfort for her in a traumatic week where her beloved dog went missing a few days before contact was lost with her father.

On Friday Tracey's 12-year-old Jack Russell slipped its lead and ran off after being startled by a thunderstorm.

Tracey, from Aston Abbots, near Aylesbury, said: "It hasn't been the best of weeks.

"I'd been pulling my hair out all weekend looking for the dog and then I heard there had been an earthquake in China."

Tracey said she thought the dog had been picked up by a passing motorist.

She said: "I'm sure people pick them up thinking they are looking after them - and I'm sure she is being looked after - but it's not the same when she's not here.

"She's been with me since she was born and I'm so desperate to find her."

A £300 reward has been offered for the safe return of the dog, who has been chipped and spayed.

The name of the dog has not been given in case anyone currently looking after it become "too familiar" with it.

She is described as having short hair and a long tail.

Anyone who has seen the dog can contact Tracey on either 01296 681903 or 07889 140788.
