HUNDREDS of plastic ducks will be bobbing their way along the Thames this weekend as they race to win their owners a prize.
Competitors will be able to buy a duck and then set it afloat on the river, with prizes awarded for the first three ducks to cross the finishing line.
The ducks will be released from the river bank in Higginson Park, Marlow, at 2pm on Saturday.
The event is being organised by Marlow Round Table with proceeds being donated to charity.
Henning Hammer, former chairman of Marlow Round Table, said: "It is always great to watch everyone cheering on their ducks and seeing which three bob over the finishing line first.
"This day helps us to raise a few thousand pounds for local charities so everyone that comes along and buys a duck knows that they are helping to support local causes."
Children who take part could win £50 or an activity day at Longridge boating centre in Quarry Wood Road, Marlow.
Adult winners will scoop a chance to drive a power boat at Longridge, a meal for two at the Queen's Head in Marlow or a weekend at The Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel near Southampton.
The event is part of the Round Table's May Fayre event.
Other attractions at the fair will include a Punch and Judy show, a coconut shy and a vintage and classic car collection.
Anyone interested can buy a duck by contacting a member of the Marlow Round Table via their website at www.marlowrt.co.uk.
