AN ARTIST has sold more than 50 of his paintings this weekend, raising nearly £3,000 for charity.
Donald Ball, 92, put his entire corpus of paintings and sketches up for sale in an exhibition at the Little Missenden Village Hall.
In recent years Mr Ball, of Little Missenden, has had problems with his eyesight, and can no longer paint.
He has received help from the Bucks Association for the Blind, and as such, decided to donate the money raised at the exhibition to the charity.
Sarah Allwood, who helped to organise the sale, said: "It's been a resounding success.
"It's been really nice for Donald to put a closure to that side of things."
There are now plans to exhibit the remaining artwork at the Rossetti Hall in New Pond Road, Holmer Green, and continue the sale there.
