A SHOP window in Hazlemere was completely smashed after two teenagers fell through it.

The thick glass frontage of Filippo's hairdressers in Rose Avenue was destroyed at around 8.20pm tonight.

Both of boys involved in the accident were left with cuts to their hands.

Residents visiting neighbouring shops described hearing a crash before rushing outside to see what had happened.

One mum who was visiting the Co-op at the time, and did not wish to be named, said: "When I came there was a bunch of kids standing around outside and when I went into the shop I just heard a crash."

Police at the scene said the accident happened when the two teens were "messing around" outside the hairdressers.

Sergeant Richard Beard attended the scene.

He said: "It would appear there were two youths messing around outside a plate glass window, which is a very silly thing to do, and they've both gone through the window.

"They have both got slight cuts to their hands. Obviously glass being glass it's lucky it wasn't somewhere else."

No arrests were made.
