A PUB is holding a fun day to raise the money which was stolen from its charity pot.

The Royal Standard, in Grange Road, Widmer End, had a large collection bottle containing around £200 taken by a thief on June 29.

The money was for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.

So the pub has organised a fun day at Widmer End Village Hall, which is opposite the pub, to replace the cash which was stolen.

It will be taking place on August 24 from 2pm.

Information will be available from organisations such as the air ambulance and fire service.

There will also be a puppet show, pig roast, jujitsu demonstration and a number of different stalls.
