WYCOMBE Wanderers roared to the top of League Two this afternoon after their fourth successive win as they won 1-0 at Rochdale.
A goal from Chris Zebroski after 31 minutes was enough to ensure Peter Taylor’s men leapfrogged from fourth place into first with 13 points from five matches. They have conceded just one league goal.
It is the club’s third away win this season, and the goal was Zebroski’s first since his summer signing.
Today’s win is the latest triumph in a remarkable start for manager Taylor who joined after previous boss Paul Lambert walked out at the end of last season.
Beating Rochdale away is no mean feat because, like Wycombe, they also got through to last season’s League Two play-offs where they lost to Stockport.
But, prior to the game, Taylor refused to get carried away, and said: “The table won’t take shape until ten games or so.”
