AN Olympic medal-winner launched a new clinic to help people lose weight in High Wycombe.
Matt Wells, a member of the Great Britain team who won a bronze medal in the Beijing Olympic Games, visited the town yesterday to open SureSlim UK.
The rowing champion, who was selected for the mens double scull, cut the ribbon on the new centre in London Road.
Jo Swerling, who bought the franchise, said: “SureSlim is all about commitment, discipline and reaching a goal.
"I have done that and have opened a clinic to help others to do the same.
"I asked Matt Wells to open my clinic as he is a local hero and has reached his goal and won an Olympic medal for his country.”
The new clinic aims to use medical analysis to tailor eating plans to suit different lifestyles and lead to weight-loss.
