Car driver dies in Marlow bus crash

A CAR driver died after a crash involving a bus.

The accident happened shortly before 2.30pm today in Wycombe Road, Marlow Bottom, when a single decker bus and blue Toyota Starlet travelling in opposite directions collided.

Two fire crews from High Wycombe fire station and an ambulance were called to the scene, but the car driver - a man in his thirties - was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman who was on the bus has also been taken to hospital with a suspected fracture.

The road is closed from the junction with Marlow Bottom to Ragmans Lane.

Buckinghamshire County Council said it expected the road to be closed until at least 8pm and asked drivers to avoid the area.

Police have asked for witnesses to the accident to come forward.
