A TAXI driver was left shaken up and “pale as a ghost” following a knife-point car-jacking.
Last night the driver, who works for A1 Taxis, was in his car reading a book in Old Kiln Lane, Flackwell Heath, when the incident occurred.
At around 10pm a man approached the taxi and demanded money before forcing the driver out of the car.
Les Cramp, part owner of A1 Taxis, was in the control office across the street in Straight Bit when the attack happened.
He said: “My driver came rushing into the office saying that his car had been jacked at knife point.
“He was pale as a ghost.”
He immediately called the police. The car was later found burnt out in Conifer Rise, High Wycombe.
Mr Cramp said that the car belonged to the driver.
“Now he's without a vehicle at the busy time of the year. He did feel very shaken up," he said.
Police reported this afternoon that the man who carried out the car jacking had already held up a different driver at knife point in Marlow Road, High Wycombe.
He made the driver take him to a bank in Common Road, Flackwell Heath, with the aim of forcing them to give him money from their account.
However, the driver was able to escape on foot.
The attack on the taxi driver happened afterwards.
