FIREFIGHTERS will be swapping fire hoses for collection buckets as they raise money for charity in High Wycombe today.

Members of all four of High Wycombe fire station's crews are to take to the streets today, the last Saturday shopping day before Christmas.

They will be at the Eden Shopping Centre from 11am until 4pm, collecting money for three different charities.

The funds will go to the Fire Fighters Charity, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and the Stoke Mandeville Hospital Burns Unit.

Watch Manager Eamonn Eddowes said: “Local shoppers have responded magnificently before. We are collecting for three really good causes and we hope the public will be able to spare us some of their change while they are out shopping.”
