MISBOURNE Sea Scouts Explorer Unit lived up to its name during a three-week adventure expedition in the Canadian Rockies.
The 18-strong group and four leaders took Scouting to the limit when they embarked on an action-packed assortment of activities, including mountaineering, caving, white-water rafting and bouldering.
Explorer Scout James Gross told the Star: "We had the best time ever. Beautiful scenery, great people and tough mountains. What more could we want?"
Helen Jones added: "Canada is such a wonderful place and we certainly found the best bits. It was a fantastic expedition and we had a brilliant time up mountains and down caves."
The group, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in February, is one of the largest Explorer units in the country boasting 32 members.
Leader Carol Thomas, said: "They're a great bunch and a talented bunch. They really do enjoy the whole outdoors aspect of Scouting."
And Scouts eager to show off their Canadian experiences are conducting a series of presentations from 8pm on Thursday, October 2 at Missenden Baptist Church Hall, High Street, Great Missenden.
