Man, 20, denies murder allegation

A 20-YEAR-OLD today denied the murder of a High Wycombe man when he appeared at court.

Kieran Avery appeared at Reading Crown Court this afternoon charged with murdering 49-year-old Colin Butler on October 24.

Avery, who was staying at High Wycombe YMCA in Crest Road before being charged with the offence, spoke only to confirm his name and to enter a not guilty plea.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a trial at the court, due to start on June 1. It is expected to last for eight days.

Mr Butler’s body was found in his front garden in Marlow Road.
