YOUR HERITAGE: Hextable Heritage Society’s next meeting is entitled Saving Old Buildings. Dartford councillor Conrad Broadley will be making a presentation on preserving old architectural treasures at the meeting in the Heritage Centre, College Road, on October 23 at 7.30pm.
HAVE YOUR SAY: Dartford MP Dr Howard Stoate will be holding his second constituency surgery of the month in Swanscombe. Residents will be able to raise their concerns to Dr Stoate at Community Focus, High Street, Swanscombe, between 9.30am and 11.30am on Saturday. No appointment is necessary.
YOUTH MEETING: One-to-One Youth Befriending will be holding its annual general meeting on October 28 at the Community Centre, Cromptons Road, Sevenoaks. The meeting at noon includes lunch and features Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells area youth and community officer Catherine McManmon as guest speaker. Call 01322 294005 for details.
CADETS ON PARADE: An annual parade will see Dartford and Crayford Sea Cadets in their full garb. They will set off at 3pm from Fairfield Pools, Lowfield Street, Dartford, and march to Holy Trinity Church, East Hill, for a service. The parade on Sunday will return to headquarters at Brooklands Lake, Princes Road, via the war memorial.
