NAPHILL and Walter's Ash School have already achieved the Activemark Gold Award for excellence in sports provision, and this year they are working towards the Artsmark, by provision of classwork and extra-curricular activities in Art & Design, Music, Drama and Dance.

Sometimes parents also give their talents in these areas.

The school is also working in conjunction with Amersham and Wycombe College as part of working closer with local residents, by providing a level two Word Processing and Excel Spreadsheet computer course starting on Thursday at the school. The course is of 12 lessons and costs £38. If interested, contact the school or 01494 565439.

SOME folk never stop working for the community. One such person is Bob Davis, who has given many years to the village hall council, the famous fundraising "Second-hand Emporium" at village fetes, football club, quiz night organiser and stalwart for advertising blood donor sessions. Local guesses put his fundraising at over £20,000 over the years. Congratulations and thanks to Bob and his family.
