Driver cut out of car in Hughenden Valley


A DRIVER had to be cut of his car after a head on collision with a refrigeration van in the early hours this morning in Hughenden Valley.

The crash happened in Coombe Lane about 5.30am.

Two fire crews from High Wycombe used hydraulic equipment to free the man from his 4x4 vehicle.

He was taken to accident and emergency at Stoke Mandeville with leg injuries.

Crew manager Gordon Richardson said: “Severe damage was done to the front of the car and damage to the front of the van.

“Brigade personnel had to remove driver's door to get access to him.”

Police and an ambulance also attended.
