A MAN from Cookham has been named as one of three people who died in a car crash in Surrey.

Keith Langley, 59, of Lower Road, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision in Lightwater and a front-seat passenger in his Peugeot 307 - a 58-year-old woman also from Cookham – is in serious condition at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey.

His sister-in-law, Jill Parsons, 52 from Woking, who was also a passenger, died later from her injuries having been flown by air ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital in OxFord.

The crash happened on Monday August 31 around 4.15pm.

The other woman who died in the accident, Emma Mead, 27, from Elephant & Castle, London, was driving a silver Ford Focus towards the M3 motorway when it crossed the central reservation and collided with Mr Langley's black Peugeot 307 on the A322 Lightwater bypass.

Mrs Mead was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her two-year-old daughter who was also travelling in the car remains at Southampton General Hospital, in serious condition.

A grey Fiat Cinquecento was also involved in the collision.

It was heading the same way as Mr Langley, towards Guildford on the opposite carriageway.

The driver of the Fiat, a 63-year-old man from Woking, was taken to Frimley Park Hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.

The A322 was closed in both directions for around six hours.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses.
