Body found on railway had been hit by train


A MAN found dead on the railway line between Taplow and Burnham yesterday had “suffered injuries consistent with being struck by a train”, police said today.

The body was discovered by a train driver near to Lent Rise Road in Burnham at 7.08am yesterday morning.

Investigating officers from British Transport Police are not treating the incident suspiciously.

The man has been confirmed as being a 32-year-old from Slough but his identity has not been formally released.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.
