The weekend's firework displays

WRAP up warm and get your sparklers at the ready for a host of firework displays around south Buckinghamshire tonight.

High Wycombe:

The annual High Wycombe Round Table Fireworks event will be held at Four Ashes Field, Kingshill Road, Terriers.

The gates open at 5pm and the bonfire is lit at 6pm, with fireworks scheduled to launch at 6.30pm.There will also be food, drinks and fairground rides.

Advance tickets cost £12 in advance or £17 on the night for cars, or £5 per adult and £3 per child on foot.

Marlow:

Longridge activity centre will be holding its annual pyrotechnics spectacularin Quarry Wood Road.

Last year around 4,000 Guy Fawkes revellers braved the mud to enjoy the display.

Gates open at 5.30pm. Tickets can be bought at www.longridge-uk.org at Marlow Information Centre or by calling or visiting Longridge on 01628 483252 or e-mailing bookings@longridge-uk.org

Burford School, Marlow Bottom will be holding a fireworks display including a fire-eater, fairground rides and stalls. Gates open at 5.30pm with the display at 7pm.

Chalfont St Giles:

Stone Meadow from 6pm onwards. Advance tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children under 16 and £15 for a family ticket and can be bought from the Olde Post House and Chalfont Pets in Chalfont St Giles, Yaldens in Three Households, the Jolly Cricketers pub in Seer Green and the Nucleus Gallery in Chalfont St Peter.

Tickets on the gate are £7 for adults, £4 for children and £18 for families. Children under three can get in for free.

Beaconsfield:

There is a bonfire and fireworks at Beaconsfield Cricket Club in Wilton Park in the Old Town.

The Mayor will light the bonfire at 7.15pm and fireworks will start at 7.45pm.

Family tickets are £15 or £12 in advance, adults £5 or £4 in advance and children £4 or £3 in advance.

Tickets can be bought at Rick's News, Sportscene, Beaconsfield Post Office, Hughes Garage and AJ Dunlop Car Servicing.

Flackwell Heath:

A family firework display will take place at the Carrington School Sports Field at the end of Chapel Lane, starting from 6pm.

Anyone who bought a ticket to last years show (and still has it) can use it to get in this year.

The bonfire will be lit just before 7pm - entrance is £6 each on the day or £5 each if you get the tickets in advance from Flackwell Heath shops or schools.

Under fives get in free. Gates open at 6pm.

Prestwood:

Wren Davis Field, Wycombe Road from 6.15pm in aid of Prestwood, Kingshill and Misbourne Scouts.

Bonfire lighting at 7pm. Family ticket £9 in advance £12 at the gate, up to family of 5, maximum 2 adults.

Single ticket £4 in advance £5 at the gate. Advance tickets can be bought from JNP Estate Agents, Prestwood Post Office and Callaghans Florists in Prestwood, Spar of Great Kingshill and Samways and Wynyard-Wright and Ellis of Great Missenden.

Great Missenden:

Great Missenden C of E School will be holding its ‘Star Fireworks’ display.

Gates open at 6pm, and visitors can enjoy fairground rides, refreshments, side stalls, a tombola and a licenced bar.

Advance family tickets (two adults and three children max) cost £12 and £15 on the night. Advance adult tickets cost £4 or £5 on the night and advance child tickets cost £2 or £3 on the night.

Tickets are available from the school office, Samways Newsagent and Café Twit. Parking is free at Great Missenden Railway station after 5.30pm.

Sunday November 8 Winchmore Hill: Winchmore Hill Cricket Club, Horsemoor Lane HP7 0PL. Tickets £5 adults, £2 for children under 12.

Bonfire is lit at 7pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. Bar and barbecue open at 6pm.
