Arrest over Wycombe 'hit and run'

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in relation to an alleged hit-and-run in High Wycombe town centre earlier this month.

He was arrested by police in Oxfordshire last night and is currently being questioned by officers.

The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm with intent to endanger life, driving whilst disqualified, drink driving and fraud by false representation.

The arrest was made in relation to an incident happened in Oxford Road at around 3pm on Wednesday November 4.

A 58-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a white transit van. He remains in a serious condition.

The van was being chased by police near the Marks and Spencer store and was later found dumped in the Bellfield Road Industrial Estate.
