Man arrested over hit-and-run given bail

A 30-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested in relation to a hit-and-run in High Wycombe town centre has been bailed until January 8.

He was arrested by police in Oxfordshire on Wednesday.

The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm with intent and fraud by false representation.

The arrest was made in relation to an incident happened in Oxford Road at around 3pm on Wednesday November 4.

A 58-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a white transit van. He remains in a serious condition.

The van was being chased by police near the Marks & Spencer store and was later found in the Bellfield Road Industrial Estate.
