A RECORD number of shops and businesses are taking part in this year's Christmas festival in Gerrards Cross.
The Rotary Club of Gerrards Cross & Chalfont St Peter is organising the festival and expects nearly 3000 residents between 5.30pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday.
One of the highlights of the event will be a personal appearance by Rotarian, a horses from the South Bucks Riding for the Disabled stables in Fulmer.
Children from Gerrards Cross C of E School and St Mary's School will lead the carol singing in Station Road at 6pm, while Father Christmas will be in residence at the Lighting Matters shop in Packhorse Road.
Many of the shops and businesses will be offering refreshments and some including a glass of wine.
President of the rotary club, Jim Patterson, said the festival provides a great night out for all the family, with all proceeds being donated to local charities.
