FIRECREWS helped paramedics respond to accidents and emergencies through the night.
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service's four-wheel drive utility vehicles were launched by the brigade to transport South Central Ambulance Service paramedics to accidents.
Firefighters from Beaconsfield helped transport a casualty with a suspected broken leg and internal injuries from Beaconsfield to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.
A number of fire stations throughout the district were also made available to local authorities.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer Roy Harold said: “All three of our four-wheel drive Unimog fire engines were deployed and have been crewed continuously overnight.
“Staff have demonstrated their characteristic resilience, adaptability and flexibility, staying on duty to keep vehicles available and supporting other services.
“Conditions are currently improving, but there is the potential for further freezing conditions later today.”
