A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Finsbury Park.
Police were called at 6.20am on Thursday morning to an address in Stroud Green Road, where officers found an unconscious 40-year-old woman.
She was taken to Whittington Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday at Hornsey Mortuary, police said.
An incident room has now opened in Hendon under Det Insp Colette Smyth from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.

There have been no arrests at present and enquiries continue.
