THE Jackie Palmer Stage School is celebrating another successful year with pupils past and present excelling in the acting world.

The school is based in Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe and their current pupils are starring alongside actor Shane Richie in Aladdin at the Swan.

In addition to their success, past pupil James Corden who left the school when he was 18 has received critical acclaim for the latest series of his hit TV show Gavin and Stacey.

Aaron Johnson, who is from High Wycombe, left the school last year after starring in acting roles since the age of six.

Johnson played Robbie in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and is currently starring in Nowhere Boy at cinemas as John Lennon.

Present pupil 11-year-old Joseph Lindsey from Beaconsfield starred as Miles in the BBC drama shown this Christmas, The Turn of the Screw.

Principal of the stage school Marylyn Phillips said: “It is terrific. We are very proud of them all.

“Obviously not everyone who comes to the school wants to go into the industry.

“It is nice that the ones who do make a success of it.

“Joseph had a great time filming for the BBC. It is his first big role and he was very excited.”

Past pupil Nick Robinson's Goodnight Mister Tom was on television this Christmas and Thomas Goodridge is currently appearing on stage "Sister Act" with Sheila Hancock at the London Palladium.

Current pupils are appearing on stage in three productions for the English National Opera which are Kevin Spacey's Inherit The Wind at the Old Vic, Oliver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and of course Aladdin at the Wycombe Swan.
