THE public inquiry into the travellers site at Hemley Hill will take place in three months time.
The Planning Inspectorate has announced the inquiry will be on April 27 and 28 at the Wycombe District Council's offices in High Wycombe and is expected to last two days.
The independent planning body will consider the travellers' appeals against the enforcement notice given by WDC in September and the refusal of planning permission for nine gypsy and traveller pitches at the Saunderton site.
WDC has suggested alternative traveller sites across Buckinghamshire in an attempt to stop illegal encampment happening in the future. See link at bottom of story.
Jerry Unsworth, WDC head of planning, will attend the Stokenchurch Parish Council meeting tomorrow at 7.30pm.
He will discuss the proposed gypsy sites in Dry Banks and the pallet storage area opposite and explain the background to the proposal. All are welcome to attend.
