Roadshows to warn elderly about distraction burglaries

DISTRACTION burglaries and bogus traders are the focus of a roadshow aiming to highlight the problem for elderly householders.

The 'Action Against Burglary' events will be supported by a range of bodies such as Neighbourhood Watch, Trading Standards, WDC Community Safety Team, Thames Valley Police, Bucks Fire and Rescue, and Addaction.

Members of the elderly community are encouraged to attend, find out more on how to avoid becoming a victim and pick up a 'goody bag'.

The first of two roadshows will take place at the Chiltern Shopping Centre's on March 13 from 10am to 2pm.
