AN 18-YEAR-OLD has been jailed for 14 months for a spate of burglaries in the south Bucks area.
Craig Eyre was sentenced after pleading guilty to a burglary in Great Hivings, Chesham, in January.
The Leachcroft, Chalfont St Peter, resident, also admitted aggravated vehicle taking, assault and criminal damage – and asked for a further 24 offences to be taken into consideration when he appeared before Aylesbury Magistrates yesterday.
The Chiltern district's head of policing, Chief Inspector Ian Hunter, said many of the offences were dwelling burglaries carried out in the Chiltern and South Bucks policing areas in January and February.
He added: “It shows we've got the ability to deal with local offenders committing local crime, and this sentence shows those intent on committing burglaries and car crime will be caught and brought to justice.”
