Chiltern Americans raise £10,000 for charities

FUNDRAISERS from the Chilterns American Women's Club have donated more than £10,000 to two Bucks-based charities.

Members raised the money during a single evening at their Christmas bazaar at the Bellhouse Hotel near Beaconsfield in November.

This week they presented the money to the National Society for Epilepsy in Chalfont St Peter and the Aylesbury-based PACE charity, which cares for children with cerebral palsy.

The Club holds its meetings at the NSE, and decided to donate the remaining half of the money to its charity for this year.

Next year members will be raising money for the Air Ambulance.

For more details on the club, go to www.cawc.co.uk.
