Woman, 23, dies after car crash

A 23-YEAR-OLD woman died in a car crash in Chalfont St Peter, a coroner has confirmed today.

Sarah Elaine Stacey, of Oxford Road, Denham, died at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital on March 7 following the accident on the A413 on Sunday February 28.

A black Ford Ranger and black Ford Focus Zetec were involved in the collision with the red Fiat Punto Ms Stacey was driving.

The two occupants of the Ford Focus were taken to Wexham Park Hospital with serious injuries. Police describe their condition as serious but stable.

A post-mortem has given the provisional cause of Ms Stacey's death as head injuries. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.

Investigating officer PC Dan Carter said following the crash: “This was an extremely serious incident and was particularly distressing for people who were present at the scene.

“I would urge anyone who has any information that may be relevant to an investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
