Man killed by train at Beaconsfield


A MAN died after being hit by a train at Beaconsfield railway station tonight.

The incident happened at 6pm.

British Transport Police are not treating the death as suspicious. An identification has not been made.

Sergeant Chris Maddox told the Bucks Free Press at the station: "A person has been struck by a train at Beaconsfield. Enquiries are still ongoing."

Chiltern Railways said train services between Birmingham Snow Hill, High Wycombe and London Marylebone are subject to delays and cancellations due to the incident.

Beaconsfield station remained closed to rail services at 8pm this evening. Replacement buses were in operation between Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield.

Aylesbury via Amersham services were unaffected.
