TWO men staged an arrest to gain entry to a home in Downley yesterday.
At about 2.30pm they called at the home and one of the men stated he was a police officer and showed some form of ID.
He told the occupant the second male was under arrest and the pair gained entry to the premises and began to search through draws.
The occupant then told them they were calling the police, at which both men left.
The man purporting to be the police officer was described as 30-40 years old, about 5'9" tall, with dark short cut wavy hair. He was wearing dark jeans and a dark navy or black jacket.
The second male was described as about 20 years old, 5'9" tall, with thin features, wearing a dark brown cap, dark brown jacket and dark brown trousers.
