PUPILS at a school in Bourne End raised £500 for charity by creating a map of Haiti with money.

Last week, pupils at Westfield School, on Highfield Road, were finding out all about the Caribbean, which included classes in cookery, mask-making, geography and dance.

School secretary Claire Wilson said: “We are a small school, which, none the less, hopes to make some difference through our fund raising.”

Money raised during the school's 'Passport to the World Week' has been donated to Save the Children and the Haiti Appeal.
