BUDGET hotel chain Premier Inn has unveiled early plans for a new 120-bed hotel in High Wycombe.
The hotel would be built on the land opposite the Dovecot multi-storey car park in the Archway road and would create about 50 jobs.
A public exhibition on the proposed hotel, which would also include a restaurant and bar, will be held at Hamilton Primary School next Thursday.
Hotel bosses will then decide on whether to submit a planning application to Wycombe District Council.
The news follows hot on the heels of Travelodge announcing plans to move into the town above the Pure nightclub.
A hotel is also planned for the Chilterns Shopping Centre in Frogmoor.
Richard Pearson from Premier Inn said: “We are delighted to announce proposals for a new hotel, which will help to regenerate this site, provide local jobs and bring much needed hotel accommodation to boost local tourism.”
The exhibition will be held at the school's Hampden Road site in Hampden Road, High Wycombe, between 4.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, March 25.
