A FUNDRAISER who raised nearly £2,000 for a cancer charity was rewarded for her efforts at a presentation ceremony.
Sue Owen, who works at The Cressex Community School, High Wycombe, was awarded a certificate by Lizzie Melvin, Bucks and Berks Community Fundraiser for Cancer Research UK. She raised the amount during a series of breakfast events.
A spokesman at the school said: "This meant that she raised the most money for that event in the whole of Buckinghamshire."
Sue organised a Big Breakfast at the school for staff and also made money from her hobby of selling novelty bears on her website www.boglin.net Staff at the school also took part in the recent Race for Life event held at The Rye in High Wycombe and a further team will run in Reading.
