DELIGHTED dog lover Pat Carey is keen to track down two youngsters who returned her missing Pekingese so she can thank them.

Pensioner Mrs Carey, of Deanfield Close, Marlow, said she was so overwhelmed when the two good samaritans came walking down her path with JJ, one of her two pet Pekingese, that she forgot to show her proper gratitude.

She added: 'You hear so many bad stories these days so it is nice when something happens like this. It really does restore one's faith in youngsters.

'I do hope they get in touch, when they left I wished I had given them a little something. That type of behaviour should definitely be encouraged.'

Mrs Carey, who was a canine beautician before she retired, bought her two Pekingnese's from Peki Rescue back in 1997.

She added: 'When I realized JJ had gone I just wanted him home. I imagined having to go in search of him and putting up ads for people to look out for him.'

Mrs Carey said she was just dashing down the front path to go looking for JJ when the two blond youths, aged about 15-years-old, came walking in with the dog in their arms.

She said: 'I was absolutely delighted. They are like my family now all my children have grown-up and left home.'

She explained that JJ had escaped through an open garden gate.
