HARLOW solicitors Attwater and Liell and Whiskers have helped to raise nearly £3,500 for charity through the national Will Aid campaign.
The two firms joined solicitors across the country raising over £660,000 for charities including ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Help the Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children UK and Sight Savers International, by writing wills in exchange for a donation.
Attwater and Liell, in Rothwell House, West Square, The High, raised £3,092.50 while Whiskers in Gate House, The High, Harlow, raised £390.
A Will Aid spokesman said: "Solicitors are busy people but they have found the time to do this extra work for the campaign and help us achieve this incredible result. Our thanks also go to all the people who opted to write their will with these solicitors and so gave a donation rather than paying the solicitor's usual fee."
The next Will Aid campaign is in November 2006.
