TEENAGER Terry Morton took four wickets in four balls for Flackwell Heath last Sunday.

The 17-year-old's once-in-a-lifetime performance destroyed Frieth as Flackwell romped to a 142-run victory in last Sunday's friendly match.

The former Wye Valley student said: "I couldn't believe it. I got one wicket and the rest just kept on coming. That's my best bowling ever. I was really shocked and it took some time before it sunk in what I had done."

The fast bowler, whose cousin plays for Australia's U18s, took the middle stump out to claim his first victim and then took his second in identical fashion.

His hat-trick came when he hit the leg stump and his amazing fourth wicket in a row came when he hit the off stump.

And it might have been even better. He thought he had made it five in a row but his appeal for lbw was turned down by the umpire.

He said: "I'm still not sure about that one. I thought it was lbw but I'm happy with what I got."

Flackwell are now planning to get him a special trophy to commemorate his feat.

Remarkably though, that was the young builder's second special performance of the weekend.

Just 24 hours earlier, he had taken six wickets for 19 runs off 6.4 overs for the first team, in their Kookaburra League victory over Chesham Bois.

He said: "That probably gave me greater pleasure because it was for the first team and in a league match.

"I had been working in the morning and had to get a taxi to the ground to get there in time."

Morton puts his recent success down to practice.

He spent the winter in the nets bowling at a traffic cone.
