MOTORISTS frustrated that they have been stopped using Bridge Street car park in High Wycombe, when there is no start to building work there on the town's multimillion pound redevelopment project, have been given a sign.
Wycombe District Council put up the sign last week promising a start to the £120million Eden project in ten days' time.
Work should have started on September 5 when the car park closed and the park and ride service started from Cressex.
But the 300 pages of paper work was still not complete, said Charles Brocklehurst, the council's head of property services. He added: "It's frustrating, but it's as good as started.
"When you consider we have been waiting 15 years for this, 15 days out is not too bad."
The car park had to close on September 5 because electricity services had been booked for that day, to shut down the ticket machines.
