Dolly’s piglets are pride of the farm

9:17am Friday 4th November 2005

EIGHT new arrivals are being admired at Odds Farm Park after Dolly the pig gave birth to piglets.

The piglets, born on the Wooburn Moor farm on October 20, are a rare mix of their mother Dolly, a Gloucestershire Old Spot, and their father Norbert, a Tamworth.

Clare Middlestock, livestock manager, said: "Both mum and dad are rare breeds and so the piglets they made have a very nice gloss. Some are ginger with black spots and others are pink and black with a bit of orange."

She added: "They are doing silly things now, as they have started to come out of their pen."

Visitors to the farm have until December to visit the piglets as the little squealers are weaned at just eight weeks after which time they will move to different farms.
