Robert crowned king of hairstylists

HARRINGTONS salon director Robert Smith has been crowned Southern Hairstylist of The Year at the British Hair Awards.

Mr Smith, 45, who shares his time between the salon in Marlow High Street and a salon in Beaconsfield, rece-ived his trophy from TV presenter Jonathon Ross at an award ceremony in London last month.

It is the third time the father of three has scooped the award and secures his entry into the hairdressing hall of fame.

Mr Smith, of Eghams Wood Road, Beaconsfield, said: "It's a personal award but it reflects the work of the whole salon."

Mr Smith predicts the short box bob will be big in 2006. He said: "It's a 60's inspired style, quite angular and graduated to give the hair more lift, worn with a full fringe."
