Man found dead outside Eden in High Wycombe

A MAN was found dead outside the Eden Shopping Centre car park in the early hours of this morning.

Ambulance staff attended the scene at 1.27am but said the man - thought to be about 30-years-old - was already dead.

Police spokesman Pierre du Bois said the body was found by officers on patrol in Lilys Walk at 1.20am.

He said officers believe the man fell from the Eden car park and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for Eden said: "Eden Shopping Centre can confirm that police were called to the centre in the early hours of the morning on 30 July 2010 in response to an incident.

"The matter is now in the hands of the emergency services."

You would have thought that by now they would have been able to design multi-story car parks in such a way that it was less easy to "fall" out of them.

My sympathies to the family of the person who died.

Well they might, but it still leaves other roofs or motorway over bridge.
The point here is how sad there was no one he could turn to.I am not in his mind set and nor are you and nor anyone else. An act that is so brave and desperate to do. But think of those that are first there to deal with it and then think of what he has left in his decision. It bares belief how the capacity of man ranges in the coping of life and death. We all fear it but for some its an option beyond our normal world. Alas and farewell

Depression is indeed one of most frustrating medical dilemmas, not all treated is successful no matter how much support the patient receives from family, friends and the medical profession.

My thoughts are with you st68, may your brother now rest in peace.

My thoughts are with you St. Whatever the reason, there is a stigma attached to suicide and it is not fair on the person involved or the people that they leave behind. My father died from a fall from another car park in Wycombe about 27 years ago. It was likely (but not absolutely - open verdict recored) that he committed suicide. What happened at the end of your brother's life is not important, you can't change that. Celebrate the person he was. Take care X

No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less,
as well as if a promontory were,
as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were;
any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. (John Donne, 1624)
