AN 'unprovoked' racial attack left a man with injuries after he was assaulted by as many as ten people who got out of two cars in High Wycombe.

The cars stopped at traffic lights near the Santander bank at the junction of Oxford Street and Frogmoor, where racial abuse was shouted at the man.

Police say all the occupants of both vehicles, eight to 10 Asian men, got out of their vehicles and assaulted their victim before getting back into the cars and driving off.

The man sustained minor injuries to his face, hands and arm.

Police today (Fri) confirmed the victim is white.

Thames Valley Police today made an appeal for information as they investigate the incident, which took place between 8.15-8.30pm on Sunday August 8.

The vehicles involved are described as a black Vauxhall Corsa and a red Honda Civic.

PC Hayley McEvoy, investigating, said: “This was a completely random, unprovoked incident and I urge anyone who witnessed it to contact me or Crimestoppers to ensure the offenders are caught and prevent them from committing any further offences of this nature.”

Anyone with information should contact PC McEvoy on 08458 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
