Free entry to National Trust

FAMILIES can enjoy a free day out at Hughenden Manor a week today.

The manor will open its doors with no admission charge on September 11 as part of the Heritage Open Day campaign with something for all ages.

First time visitors or people returning are all welcome.

Visitor Services Manager Gemma O’Shea said: “Quite often you never get around to exploring what’s on your doorstep, so this is the perfect opportunity for locals to see what Hughenden has on offer. All are welcome.”

Children can make bird feeders and masks with the manor's ranger team or play Victorian games. There will be a tour of the manor for children.

Green fingered visitors can gain inspiration from the walled garden or take home free seeds to plant.

Hughenden Manor is just one the National Trust properties open for free on Saturday 11th September, to find out more visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk or visit www.heritageopendays.org.uk Activities will be on from 11am-4pm and house will be open from 12pm-5pm. The garden is open from 11am-5pm.
