London Underground strike to affect rail services to Amersham and Aylesbury

TRAIN services through Bucks will be hit by a 24-hour strike by staff this evening and tomorrow morning.

Chiltern Railways will be operating a limited service on the line from Marylebone to Amersham and Aylesbury due to a strike by staff at London Underground, which uses the same route.

A replacement bus service will take passengers out of London after 10pm tonight, with buses also scheduled in the morning. Normal service is set to resume at 7am.

For full details go to www.chilternrailways.co.uk.

Once again industrial action and strikes are causing chaos.

Apart from causing disruption to innocent people who can't affect the issues the workers are striking about do the strikes do any good?

In anticipation of these strikes, I got up an hour early and caught the 0624 - it was busy but some empty seats available.

I then got on the Bakerloo line - the carriage was empty!!!!

Best commute ever, and I am at my desk 1.5 hours early - plenty of time to LOL at the bfp journalism...

Why do people always start with a negative over strike action when they have no knowledge of the circumstances.
Do we really want to see a London underground like National rail with no staff and unsafe stations?
LU claim only 5% of ticket sales start from the ticket office, this is TRUE, what they don't tell you is that these ticket offices are only open when people have already gone to work. There is also evidence that staff will be disciplined if they open the window when there are crowds. LU do not want ticket offices they want you to use the machine or the internet.
