Princes Risborough man sentenced to five years in prison (From Bucks Free Press)

i wish all the true facts we added as this was no inoccent 40 year old man who enjoys bulling young girls and antony is of good and outstanding charactor with no criminal history so wouldn t it have been a good idea to find facts first

I dont condone violence but the ''victim'' is a nuisence, he harress people and is a drunk, and he has done plenty on criminal activity in his time!!
I have known Antony for around 10years and although he isnt a close friend he has always been polite and I have never heard of him to be violent. I think he must of been pushed to his limit by the ''victim'' I have known him to constantly go on at people and cause trouble because all he does is drink. He is a waste of space.

So if someone is bad are they not allowed to be a victim?
The facts are a man glassed another man which resulted in the victim losing an eye. That is not acceptable no matter how good the attacker usually is. Unless someone is acting in self defence there is no excuse.

2 wrong dont make it right. He should use fists not glass. Or if he to weak hit him with a stoole or pool cue. Glass always dangerous and the man lose an eye.

he has had fights in the past !he is just as bad as the guy he glassed he is not a man haveing to use a glass wimp is the word i think this town will be a better place with him locked up

I am missing something here? Mr Brown is according to the comments above a decent bloke..but yet he has glassed someone in the eye and blinded them, scared them and damaged them for life! I dont care what the victim may have done in the past you do not go around sticking a glass in someones face.

Mr Brown got five years! He will be out in less than three and will be able at his age to carry on with his life. The victim has a life sentence of blindness and disfigurement. I think Mr Brown is very lucky he did not get 10 years. I sincerely hope the victim now gets substantial compensation. It is not the victim who Mr Browns friends should be having a go at on this forum but their so called friend for being a violent thug who got what he deserved.

Be interesting to know a bit more of what actually happend...no cctv I suppose?

I have been following this case for a while now and am glad to see a fairly satisfactory outcome.

The downside is that 5 years (3 served) won't equal the lifetime the victim will now have to endure. How do you compensate for the loss of an eye!

I hope the injured party can now put this behind him and get on with his life and that no further repercussions arise.

well your all entitled to you say but as i said true facts but this one day will come out none of you really now antony just wot you read and yes cctv was there and nothing was showned but well we no the truth thats all that really matters not anyones views and nothing has been proven he has lost his sight so the person who thinks he has follwed this casewell keep on

The facts are that one man has lost his sight in his eye due to another man sticking a glass in his face. What other facts would you like??
I have known the "victim" for 30 years - yes, he's a pain at times, yes, he can be a nuisance but nobody deserves to lose their sight over an argument. Are these facts clear enough for you?

Pushed to his limit or not .... one man has lost his sight for life and the other will be free in a few years, albeit with a criminal record. Your "view" is like saying the 9/11 attacks were due to New York having tall buildings! A load of rubbish!

I have actually know the victim for several years and even though he may be an alcoholic and a nuisance, he has never had any allegations of beating up young girls. No one deserves to be glassed in the face this is the action of a coward. What happened to using a fist!! The victim has now been branded disabled and this will not help him to find further work in the future.

Yes indeed the victim should be in prison where "he" belongs!!!
I am also a victim of suprisingly enough the "victims" threats and violence!The man is an absolute waste of space and all these comments from people saying about him being now classed as disabled and struggling for work in the future..i have heard him with my own ears bragging about this fact as now he can sit on his pathetic arse and drink the governments money up the wall without having to go ou and graft!
The victim IS a nasty piece of work who should have been put in his place a LONG time ago & thank god for Anthony doing so.....i am not a believer of violence myself but i am also not naive about how people are pecieved for "self defence"...you guys on here are so black and white it's obvious you don't know the streets out there as unfortunately this is the kind of crap that goes on in the world every single day!!
As for the police dealing with the girls this w****r has assaulted,threatened and bullied,the police don't get paid enough to give a **** and pull their finger out and work hard to find real evidence,they make their own assumptions and all in all don't want to do anything properly!The only reason Anthony was convicted was because the police HAD to as there was cctv staring them in the face.A pc has told me in person how the police deal with things and how they just can't AFFORD to do things thoroughly and now the government have cut back on police funding!This country and people's "Black & White" opinions are utterly disgusting!
