I'm a celebrity chef... get me to Cookham Dean!

A CELEBRITY chef will bring his Michelin-starred culinary expertise to a Cookham Dean hotel in the New Year.

John Burton Race – who has appeared in I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Britain’s Best Dish – will be the consultant executive chef at Sanctum on the Green.

Mr Burton Race - who was awarded two Michelin stars for his work at the Landmark London hotel – will begin his latest role at the boutique hotel on January 21.

Venison carpaccio with apricots and port wine jelly and pan-fried bream with saffron and mussel broth are among the dishes on Mr Burton Race’s new menu.

And the 52-year-old is excited to get cracking after having lived in the area for over a decade.

“I am drawn back to this beautiful part of the UK by the lovely memories from living here for 14 years,” said the Singapore-born chef.

“Sanctum is a beautiful property and I feel my style of food will suit it perfectly”.

The hotel’s owners Mark Fuller and Andy Taylor are delighted to have acquired Mr Burton Race’s culinary skills.

“He is one of the finest chefs of his generation, and this new collaboration is sure to be the first of many,” said Mr Fuller.

“John is an old friend and we are very excited about this new partnership.”
